Guys, do you know that the first president of Indonesia was came from Blitar???
Yup, it's Ir. Soekarno. To memorize the great leadership he has, the government built the tomb for him at Blitar and his name was used for the street name in Blitar.
The architectural “Joglo” dominates the tomb. It is in East Javanesse style and combined with Gateway of Bentar. The impression is as great as the first president himself when he was still alive. Located at Bendogerit village, Blitar. The tomb is visited by many pilgrims and opened for public.
The tourist attraction in Blitar municipality is the tomb of IR. SUKARNO, an Indonesian proclamator and the first President of the Republic of Indonesia. The average of the visitors amount to 150,000 per year including both domestic and foreign visitors.
Right now, the president of Indonesia come from Blitar too!!

Thats right, he is Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or we familiar call it SBY.
For information, i am from Blitar too.
So, i am proud about it.

When I visited there,I think Blitar is a nice place.
Not so crowded,but a little hot.
So, I would like to visit there again someday..
Actually, I doubt about where Mr SBY come from...
I think he is from Pacitan, not from Blitar.
What do you think???

But I think that its 'pecel' is good
Because there are a lot of small restaurant add 'Pecel Blitar' as their menu
