Hillary Came to Indonesia

Two days ago I read in Kompas that Hillary Clinton came to Indonesia. Indonesia is a second (or third, I'm forget) country that was visited by Hillary. The first country that she visited is China. I am little bit confused about her coming to Indonesia. Why she chose Indonesia as important country in her plan and why Indonesia become the top list Country in her plan.

I also read in Kompas that Indonesia will become a great country with lot of nature resources when another country won't have enough nature resources anymore. I guess this is the reason why Indonesia become her priority. Indonesia has a big potential to become a great country.

I think this appointment will bring good effect for Indonesia because this will make relationship between Indonesia and AS closer.

  2. No, she came here for politics. She wants to encourage a stronger relationship between Indonesia and the United States because the U.S. thinks Indonesia is an important country. It is the 4th most populous country in the world.

  4. Yeah, Indonesia has the most people in the world after China, India, and the United States. Indonesia is also the largest Muslim majority country in the world.

I think Clinton wants to establish at strategic partnership with Indonesia because it is a strong democracy with a growing economy.

Here is an article about her visit:

My favorite quote from the article:

“If you want to know if Islam, democracy, modernity and women’s rights can coexist, go to Indonesia,” she said at a dinner of academics, journalists, environmentalists and women’s rights advocates.
