We have already undergone BBI for 6 months...
Many feeling are occured during that lessons.
There are some people think that it is just waste our time, but other people think it is helpful to us.What do you think about that

yes for math, biology, english

physics, chem, and indonesia are completely useless IMO.. cuz they keeeep repeating the class' lesson..!
but yea, I get more and more improvement from math, not only the teacher is Pak Goen, but the lesson becomes interesting =] vote for Pak Goen..! yay!!

Recently, I am willing to attend in Mam Erly Lesson..
But in the second grade, I hate her lesson.
I think she has improved their teaching style.
What do you think about it

for mam erly, personally I dislike her teaching method as well.
Dunno why, but I think the method is realllyyy boring!!

and they feel that is better than doing BBI...

ReplyDeleteDue to the " Danny's Forum " about the BBI importance for the last year student like me and you all, I do have an opinion that I think it should be weighed too...
We know that in this last year we study in Kosayu, we will be faced and focused on the last National or School Exam...
Do you trust yourself, you have an effort to remember all of the lesson that will be tested in the examination,from class X upto XII,with no special teaching,no special time to study...etc...???What can we say with this bad condition???
Of course Kosayu has a particular purpose so they hold the BBI afternoon lesson to help and "push" the student to review the lessons step by step...They (the teacher's board) don't wanna to see their student fail to graduate...for what they had undergone for 3 years in Kosayu...
Hmmm...???I know that this is not far from our real life that it's so common to see the students have habit to study fot a test "one night before the day"...so, I think possibly this is the best solution,instead of motivating them,"You must study hard for the exam!!!"...
It's what I called a real act for the lazy students...ha ha...

I think BBI is important for us coz we are forced to study and to be ready for the exams. For some people who have self-awareness to prepare theirselves for the exams, BBI may be not so important coz what they learn in BBI are same with the lessons that they've learnt by themselves or in the courses.
ReplyDeleteBut for some people who haven't cared about the exams, it's important for them to join BBI as BBI can force them to study and also make them realize that the exams are coming.
That's all from me. Try to enjoy the BBI, just think that it has a good purpose for our future.

I don't really like BBI. I personally think that students should given a choice of which BBI they want to attend in the 2nd semester (based on your grade maybe?). I don't like to be forced to study, although some students really need to. I recommend the school gives us freedom to choose the BBI lesson we need based on our grade. That way, some of us ca have some more spare time (especially if you feel yo already doing well on some subjects). What do yo think guys??

So, we will not get bored or something because we know that we need that lesson for prepare our National Exam.. ^^

well, how can I enjoy my BBI, while I got it on FRIDAY?
they sure pissed me off...
and choosing the subjects is not a good idea IMO...
remember, we can't choose the subjects for our final exam...
and BBI's better if they help us to review first and second grade lessons from the start..
reviewing third grade lessons in BBI sounds quite useless and it's just a waste of time...
it made me boring (especially physics and chemistry...)

ReplyDeleteI'll start with defining the word 'effective'
effective:
1. producing an adequate or desired result, or having the power to produce such a result
2. existing or operative; functioning
As all of us know, our school's purpose when they make this program is, to make all of the students be able to get a better mark on final exam.
I think, BBI's effect for each person are different. some of them-especially who usually diligent, and spent their time by studying- will think that BBI is only burdening them. The teachers give more and more task to do through BBI (eg: just see what we must do for BBI in Indonesian... I think it gives all of us a lot of trouble...). Of course these students won't get any benefit from BBI, and thus make them say: 'BBI is useless; it's not effective, because it gives me more task. There's no time for me to study at home for the next day, because of those stupid-irritating-painful-useless-task. It makes me spend my worthy time just to do simple-yet-a-lot-of-tasks. So, my time for studying is shorter, and makes me get a worse mark in my lesson!'.
But, for other kinds of students-the one who usually study only 5-10 minutes a day-, they think that BBI will make their study time becomes longer-even with a little 'force'.. For example, without BBI, they only study 5-10 minutes a day. But, with BBI, they must study 2-3 hours. This group will think that BBI is effective, because they get a benefit in that, and they can get a better mark through this. Why? because now they use their time, that they usually used for playing,to study and make homeworks, while the other group now must use their time, that they usually used for studying, to make homeworks.
So, I think BBI can gives us different result. But, for me, I think BBI is important, especially the Indonesia, the English, and the Biology. For Math, Physics, and Chemisty, sometimes, I must to learn them if I want to get a winning in competitions, so I think I need only short time to re-studying tehem. BUT, I believe that I will never touch the Indonesian, English, and Biology, if there isn't any urgent condition...:p

ReplyDeleteYou did a good job summing up the two competing perspectives. In my high school, we reviewed for state-wide testing in class (not after school like BBI). However, we also had a longer school day. I was in school from 7 until 3 everyday. Plus our test scores were used to measure school performance; they were not used to determine whether we would graduate.
