Hi guys, back with me, the cutest blogger ever...he3...now, let's talk about a such amusing topic: teenagers.
Everyone wants to be cool. Everybody will try 2 find their own ways so that people will accept them as a cool teenager. So, what does it really mean 2 b 'cool'? Do we need 2 follow every trend so that people will say that we're cool? Or shall we smoke n do what other people do to make us 'cool'? Or maybe shall we have the latest handphone, new sportscar, beautiful girlfriend or handsome boyfriend? So, again, what does it really mean 2 b a cool teenager?
Usually, we classify those people who are fashionable and good looking as 'cool' people, but inside, are they really as 'cool' as their appearance? We can have a 'cool' appearance, but if in the inside we don't have the right attitude, the good characters, do you think people will still classify us as a 'cool' teenager? For being a cool teenager, we must have a balanced life. Our appearance and our attitude must be balanced. Even though we are beautiful, smart, handsome, rich, fashionable, but if we are selfish, bossy, don't obey what our parents say, we'll not classified as a 'cool' teenager. When we have the right attitude, and act like Jesus, take Him as our example, our life will soon be balanced. We will become blessings to other people, and finally people will accept us as a cool teenagers.
It's not easy to be a cool teenager, there will always be obstacles. Maybe our friend will tease us, telling us that we aren't fashionable, we're not cool, and so on, but remember, God has His own plans 4 our lives. He wants us to succeed in our lives. When we live like Jesus, whatever other people say about us, we're still cool teenager.
Let's do our best 2 achieve this goal, being a cool teenager. All of us have this 'coolness' in our soul, what we have 2 do is just 2 show them up and soon you'll get 2 balance your life.

ReplyDeleteI have a same opinion as you have. Being cool isn't about appearance. But character. It's really important. And our best model of character is Jesus. He has really big heart to forgive everybody's sins. That's one character that I adore in Jesus. Ha3.... We must learn how to forgive as He forgive those who killed Him upon the cross. That was the coolest thing I known in Jesus.

I think I can offer a unique perspective because I was a teenager only 5 years ago. Cool clothing, music, cars, handphones, and accessories change over time. Ten years from now you will not remember whether or not you had the cool handphone or the cool clothes, but you will remember whether you had a great time with your friends. In other words, I can't even tell you what was cool when I was in high school, but I can remember the memories I shared with my friends and family.
ReplyDeleteIn this way, I agree with you. There are more important things than having cool material possessions. Being a good person to the important people in your life should be cool instead.
to be a 'cool' teenager is every teenager's need. but to be a 'cool' teenager, i agree with tiffany, our appearance and our attitude must be balanced. and if their balance, we will be a good person like Jesus.
